摘要: Abstract The morphology of the endophytic ovipositor in Epiophlebia superstes was studied with light and electron microscopy special emphasis made on musculature microsculpture exoskeleton. Structural characters are described illustrated. has many similarities zygopterans. 10th adominal segment bear groups setae campaniform sensilla, which probably contact plant surface during egg laying. A group sensilla base stylus may be responsible for zigzag sequence disposition E. superstes. phylogenetic significance microstructure can evaluated only after a systematic examination representatives other ovipositor-bearing Odonata.
