摘要: Although two-dimensional (2D) digital mammography (DM) is the gold standard in detection of breast cancer, its limitations are well known. One major component that hampers overlapping effect fibroglandular tissue. In recent years, tomosynthesis (DBT) has emerged as a promising method for 3D visualization and by many experts anticipated to replace or be used together with regular (DM). Clinical reader trials screening have been reported evidence substantially improved clinical performance using DBT. Benefits seen women various ages density types, but especially dense breasts. Several imaging protocols evaluated: stand-alone modality performed one two projection views an adjunct DM synthetically reconstructed 2D images (obtained from DBT data). Different approaches developed: alternative system designs, acquisition angles, reconstruction methods, image display settings. Results on complementary technologies, is, optical procedures, nuclear medicine X-ray contrast media, others, encouraging might further increase mammography.
