Assuring Effectiveness in Consumer-Oriented Traceability; Suggestions for Food Label Design

摘要: Traceability is an important tool used by food companies and regulators in assuring safety quality, especially when consumers’ needs for information transparency are the driver. Consumers consult label to find out more details about a product and, although many factors influence their perceptions purchasing acts, remains primary means of communicating affecting consumer choice. Therefore, it represents final step consumer-oriented traceability path. It follows that suitable design can improve process reduce asymmetry between producer consumer. According this view, paper aimed identify suggestions design, order create support framework communication increasing readability, customer satisfaction, effectiveness traceability. A systematic literature review method with content analysis was chosen conduct study. Eleven specific from labeling theories were recognized. The novelty present study consisted mapping field, synthesizing current knowledge, providing would increase readability enhance satisfaction through well-proposed line “farm fork” strategy.
