摘要: Glycoproteins are polymers in which proteins and carbohydrates covalently linked, contribute to major biological functions. abundantly distributed microorganisms, plants, animals humans. There sufficient indications suggest that the carbohydrate moiety of glycoprotein performs significant roles such as recognition. i.e., specification blood type, control lifetime glycoproteins circulatory system, stage specific differentiation, uptake by cells, acceptors for or protein components protection exposed tissue from invasive organisms molecules. This capability arises great variety oligosaccharides can be formed a relatively small number monosaccharides. Oligosaccharide chains influence ability fold properly. The transfer, cotranslational event, oligosaccharide having structure (Glc)3 (Man)9(GlcNAc)2 an aspargine residue during biosynthesis endoplasmic reticulum may essential acquire correct tertiary structure. Inhibition studies glycosylation support concept conformation proteins.
