摘要: Widespread use of the Web and other Internet technologies in higher education has exploded last decade. Technology such as Virtual Reality (VR) potential to improve learning outcomes student engagement an active learning environment. This study investigates extent which VR-based enhances perceived engagement with technical curriculum. Using a between-subjects experimental design, 165 college students were randomly assigned to three conditional groups. The conditions included VR simulation that tasked user with identifying safety hazards a manufacturing environment, photo-based case where users identified categorized from image plant, control group. group for experiment was only taking online course, assessment, surveys no inclusion either or study. Each condition began an online course designed teach about one may encounter manufacturing environment. Learning engagement, usability, satisfaction measured via tests surveys. While significant learning differences found between conditions, students’ perception including ease comprehension, of memorization, revealed significant improvements over study group. Results indicate experience by actively engaging users. Educational opportunities are enhanced technician education.
