摘要: Abstract Background Within the last decade, use of amphetamine type stimulants (ATS) has swelled in Myanmar. Regionally, female sex workers have reported turning to ATS for occupational reasons. In doing so, drug-using (FSW) face compounded risks HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI). Here, we examine factors that impact FSW drug Muse, a town along China–Myanmar border. Methods 2012, 101 were recruited from entertainment venues brothels Myanmar–Chinese Participants participated self-administered behavioral survey covering demographics, use, work, risk behaviors. Bivariate regression analyses conducted SPSS. Results Thirty four percent respondents indicated current use. derivatives most commonly used drugs (87.5%) with injection being nearly non-existent sample. Drug using FSWs older, had engaged work longer, more Chinese clients, likely previous boyfriend who drugs. They also 3.5 times report STI.
