Coupling alkaline pre-extraction with alkaline-oxidative post-treatment of corn stover to enhance enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentability

摘要: Background A two-stage chemical pretreatment of corn stover is investigated comprising an NaOH pre-extraction followed by alkaline hydrogen peroxide (AHP) post-treatment. We propose that conventional one-stage AHP can be improved using pre-extraction, which requires significantly less H2O2 and NaOH. To better understand the potential this approach, study investigates several components process including alkaline-oxidative post-treatment, fermentation, composition alkali extracts.
