摘要: PURPOSE: We analyzed by swept-source anterior segment optical coherence tomography (SS-ASOCT) the three-dimensional iris morphology in a Caucasian population, and correlated findings with color, sectors, subject age, sex. METHODS: One eye each from consecutive healthy emmetropic (refractive spherical equivalent ± 3 diopters) volunteers were selected for study. The enrolled underwent standardized photography to assess color. Iris images assessed SS-ASOCT volume, thickness, width, pupil size. Sectoral variations of morphometric data among superior, nasal, inferior, temporal sectors recorded. RESULTS: A total 135 eyes 57 males 78 females, age 49 17 years, fulfilled inclusion criteria. All parameters varied significantly different (all P < 0.0001). volume thickness increasingly darker pigmentation (P 0.0001, = 0.0384, respectively). Neither width nor diameter was influenced Age did not affect or thickness; increased decreased (rs 0.52, rs -0.58, There no effect sex on diameter; greater 0.007). CONCLUSIONS: Morphology sector, color associated differences thickness. Morphological parameter can be used identify pathological changes suspect eyes. To effective clinical settings, construction morphological databases ethnic racial populations is essential.
