摘要: Effect of high protein diet on stone-forming propensity and bone loss in rats. Background High diets are believed to cause kidney stone formation loss, but the mechanisms mediating these changes unknown. The purpose this study was create an animal model excess evaluate response dietary load. Methods Rats (12 per group) were pair-fed with a (48%) low (12%) casein that otherwise identical their content sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium. Results Compared group, group delivered substantial acid load during 59days study, since it significantly decreased urinary pH, increased ammonium, titratable acidity, net excretion. Animals also had higher volumes. On diet, calcium excretion citrate concentration lower. saturation phosphate higher. Serum calcitriol did not differ between two groups. Histomorphometric analysis femur procured after showed marked increase resorption group. Hypocitraturia associated activity sodium-citrate cotransporter renal cortical brush-border membranes (BBM) Conclusion Both contribute pathogenesis hypercalciuria is probably origin. This rat will be useful elucidating by which intake increases risk nephrolithiasis human beings.
