摘要: The stereovillar bundles of hair cells show active movements that may be generated by the putative myosin–actin interactions underlying hair-cell adaptation. Such movement is a possible candidate for generation spontaneous otoacoustic emissions (SOAE) in ear canal nonmammals. In basilar papilla certain lizard families, most are not coupled tectorial membrane, making it easier to assign energy emission peaks defined groups cells. We have studied 62 SOAE Bahamian Anole Anolis sagrei, which has about 140 with “free-standing” high-frequency area its papilla. Individual were traced between 3 and 38 cells, mean power output per cell was calculated 141 aW. number bundle myosins putatively involved each estimated force myosin at 1 kHz approximately 0.1 pN. data support idea generate suggest produces sufficient motor.
