摘要: Abstract The behaviour under torsion of reinforced concrete beams with steel fibres as mass reinforcement is experimentally investigated. Short hooked-ended aspect ratio lf/df = 37.5 are used. Test results 35 rectangular, L-shaped and T-shaped cross-sections tested in pure presented discussed. Various configurations conventional fibre examined. experimental program includes (i) plain (control specimens), (ii) specimens longitudinal reinforcing bars (iii) stirrups. All cases examined 0%, 1% 3% volume fractions. use the only shear torsional also reported herein, an attempt to examine effectiveness a potential replacement indicated that fibrous exhibited improved overall performance respect corresponding non-fibrous control beams. addition was essential without or inadequate reinforcement. Fibres prevented sudden brittle failure both rectangular non-rectangular proved be some circumstances adequate provide for enhanced moment capacities, even case full stirrups fibres.
