Advanced Mechanical Properties of Pure Titanium with Ultrafine Grained Structure

摘要: Abstract The mechanical properties of commercially pure (CP) Ti at room temperature were investigated. decreasing grain size in CP leads to significant increases its hardness and/or strength. A combination severe plastic deformation by high pressure torsion 5 GPa followed short annealing low temperatures allows one obtain a strength (more than 1200 MPa) material that is comparable alloyed Ti.
