摘要: In this investigation, a composite coating of alumina and yttria stabilized zirconia in equal proportion was developed on Al-6061 substrate using Atmospheric Plasma Spraying technique. Two commercially available powders chemical composition Al 25Fe7Cr5Ni Al2O330(Ni 20Al) were used as bond coats. The samples subjected to abrasive wear test per ASTM G99. From the results it found that rate coefficient friction depend various parameters such microstructure, surface roughness, porosity, thickness, hardness. It also mechanism is mainly due abrasion once coat exposed disc, loses material by adhesion. As systems possess α-Al2O3 ZrO2, they can be for heat resistant applications cylinder liner internal combustion engines.
