摘要: In this paper the breakdown of a regular crystal pattern is studied for an atomic diamond type. For practical reasons, forces between atoms are idealized into potential wells. It then possible to study motion limited number particles. The lattice structure introduced as long distance order in manner developed by Bethe. results show existence phase transition where range breaks down. Considerable thermodynamic inconsistencies detected, however, and reasons these discrepancies discussed.
