摘要: Abstract Randomly interconnected zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoplatelets were successfully deposited on glass substrates using simple chemical spray pyrolysis technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern confirmed that the highly polycrystalline in nature with hexagonal wurtzite structure. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) image revealed formation of randomly no visible defects their surface. The thickness was found to be range 110–130 nm. optical absorbance spectra showed sharp absorption edge and band gap 3.23 eV. Acetaldehyde sensing characteristics ZnO at room temperature investigated. selectivity towards acetaldehyde significant comparison other gases like ethanol, methanol, ammonia, acetone, formaldehyde toluene.
