摘要: Re-meandering of degraded rivers is a frequently implemented measure in river restoration. A simple solution reconnection old meanders; however, its success likely depends on the method. We conducted field study to analyze benefits fully reconnected (fully opened meander, blocked main channel) and partially meander (opened downstream, pipe bypass from channel upstream, still open for macroinvertebrate communities German lowland river. Immediately upon two meanders, habitat diversity, macroinvertebrates were recorded three years with sampling spring summer each year. The results principal response curve analysis show that community reflected reference conditions after 1.5 years. composition was not improved relative in-stream within which could be attributed almost complete lack flow changes resulted missing improvements substrate diversity. Our method must sufficiently affect basic hydromorphological requirements achieve composition. Measures including are therefore recommended employment environmental management.
