摘要: Study design: This study is to investigate the changes of dorsal root ganglion (DRG) induced by mechanical compression using in vivo model. Objectives: The effect axonal flow disturbance nerve was determined DRG. Summary background data: should not be overlooked when considering mechanism low back pain and sciatica, so it important understand morphologic functional that occur primary sensory neurons as a result compression. However, few studies have looked at within caused axon reaction through which central branches nerves pass. Methods: In mongrel dogs, seventh lumbar compressed for 24 h, one week, or three weeks clip with pressure 7.5 gf. Morphologic secondary were examined light electron microscopy. Changes immunostaining substance P (SP), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), somatostatin (SOM) affected chromatolysis after also examined. Results: Light microscopy showed from week start Electron revealed movement nucleus cell periphery loss rough endo-plasmic reticulum mitochondria region. Immunohistochemical marked decrease SP, CGRP, SOM staining small cells compared control ganglia. Conclusion: It aware patients due disc herniation canal stenosis, dysfunction confined degeneration site compression, but extends reaction. Patients therefore fully informed fact these symptoms will resolve immediately surgery.
