摘要: Texaphyrin metal complexes having improved functionalization include the addition of electron-donating groups to positions 2, 7, 12, 15, 18 and/or 21 electron-withdrawing 15 macrocycle. Electron-donating at contribute electrons aromatic π system macrocycle which stabilizes complex demetallation and imine bonds hydrolysis. These texaphyrin enhanced stability are useful for localization, magnetic resonance imaging, radiosensitization, radiation therapy, fluorescence photodynamic RNA hydrolysis, DNA photocleavage, applications requiring singlet oxygen production cytotoxicity. Electron-withdrawing render more readily reduced, i.e. redox potential is lower gains an electron form a radical. Such texaphyrins low sensitization applications.
