摘要: This article presents the advantages of combining Acoustic Emission (AE) and Digital Image Correlation (DIC) in nondestructive testing (NDT) applications focusing on situ damage monitoring. data-fusion approach is used herein to characterize mechanical behavior a fiber metal laminate (Glare 1A) tested both tension fatigue. Furthermore, investigate structural partially grouted reinforced masonry walls. The obtained AE datasets were post-processed, combination with DIC information, using signal processing pattern recognition techniques progressive failure Glare 1A. In case wall specimens, clearly identified critical areas as function applied loading, while was capable monitor process reveal changes overall behavior. presented analysis demonstrates potential integrating data-driven mechanics investigations at multiple time length scales.
