摘要: Abstract Mixed-Model Assembly Lines (MMALs) are widely used in industries where high variety of products is required addition to low cost and responsiveness. When a certain product mix demanded different variants require assembly times on stations, the sequence line highly affects performance. Although tasks MMALs usually manual, most sequencing algorithms assume deterministic for these rendering obtained results unreliable. Max-plus algebra mathematical tool that can model discrete event systems linear equations analogous traditional state space dynamic equations. Modeling with max-plus would enable comparing sequences over ranges values thus increasing robustness reliability results. both closed open stations modeled using produced models compare possible analyze various performance measures lines while varying some system parameters. Two numerical examples presented demonstrate analyses be performed developed model. In first example, three compared regions optimality each determined. second effect changing launching rate work units studied.
