Metallophthalocyanine catalysed electroreduction of nitrate and nitrite ions in alkaline media

摘要: The electrochemical reduction of nitrite and nitrate in alkaline solution has been studied on glassy carbon electrodes modified with phthalocyanine complexes Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu Zn (MnPc, FePc, CoPc, NiPc, CuPc ZnPc, respectively, Pc(-2) is dianion). Voltammetry shows that the occurs at potentials slightly less negative than for reduction. MPc lower overpotential as follows: > FePc NiPc CoPc MnPc ZnPc electrode. main product ammonia, high yields ammonia being obtained, depending choices electrolysis potential complex.
