Our search initially identified 735 articles after removing duplicates, reviewing titles abstracts, screening full texts, 53 were finally selected. The comprised 305,432 subjects reported overall, gender-specific, geographical location specific criteria hypertension. range 1.10% 75.0% overall weighted pooled 20.0%. An extremely high heterogeneity (I2 = 99.53%; Cochran Q-statistic p < 0.001) was observed Consequently, we analysis based gender, age group study participants, cut-off level define hypertension, types presented our accordingly. increasing also observed. rising Strategies targeting prevention are required mitigate further reduce morbidity mortality associated with it.
