Expression of ABH blood group isoantigen as a prognostic factor in transitional cell bladder carcinoma

摘要: The expression of ABH blood group isoantigen was determined with the avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex method in a retrospective consecutive material 230 patients transitional cell bladder carcinoma. follow-up period 5 to 9 years. five-year corrected survival for 65 whose primary tumours showed predominant antigens (‘positive’) 80% and 146 deletion (‘negative’) 60% (p<0.01). Of 107 superficial there were 60 negative 47 positive. In an analysis early progression, found progress more frequently than positive ones (p<0.03). Twenty-three per cent finally progressed during whole follow-up, compared 15% ones; this difference not significant. Almost all progressing became when they reached advanced stage.
