摘要: Abstract Objective The objective of the study is to examine clinical, therapeutic and prognostic factors myasthenia gravis (MG) in elderly. Patients methods We reviewed all MG files patients who attended neuro-immunology clinic at Rabin Medical Center, Petah Tikva, Israel from January 1995 until September 2011 for demographic data, presentation, course response treatment. were classified as elderly if disease onset was above 69 years. Results Out 137 with MG, 29 developed after age 69. 108 young had a male:female ratio 0.9:1 whereas eighth ninth decade significant male predominance ratios 2.6:1 4.5:1 respectively. There no difference presenting symptomatology rate sero-negativity when compared early similar. older much less thymic pathology their acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibody titer lower. This associated better therapy good prognosis. Conclusion not uncommon, more prevalent males, lower AChR antibodies, readily responsive carries
