摘要: A relation between amyloid-β peptide (Aβ) accumulation and neprilysin (NEP), an Aβ degrading enzyme, has been proposed but studies of NEP the levels pathological hallmarks Alzheimer's disease (AD), tau, in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) are scarce. In this study, we measured level enzyme activity serum CSF, using a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay fluorescence resonance energy transfer assay, respectively, patients with AD, frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Creutzfeldt-Jakob (CJD), depression. Results were correlated CSF AD biomarkers Aβ42, hyperphosphorylated tau (p-tau), total (t-tau). serum, found no differences NEP-like or concentration groups there correlations biomarkers. influence age gender on was seen. However, lower specific higher FTD compared to AD. Aβ42 did not correlate CJD, depression groups, significantly group. depression, p-tau, and, group, it also t-tau levels. Our results suggest that p-tau is characteristic trait The correlation unexpected warrants further investigation.
