摘要: Abstract This paper documents the maximal activities of glycolytic enzymes in red blood cells normal mice and infected with Plasmodium berghei . There appears to be sufficient parasite-related activity each enzyme support increased rate, i.e., glucose consumption, parasite-infected cell. The relative proportions are different from either or reticulocyte-rich blood, indicating that associated not due contaminating host reticulocytes. A comparison rate whole cell consumption indicates control mechanisms operating RBC those uninfected cells.
