摘要: Background Numbers of resistant pathogens are constantly increasing, and prudent use antimicrobials is paramount importance. In order to see whether any changes in the recent years have occurred, we decided monitor consumption these drugs at a single tertiary paediatric hospital. Materials methods This single-centre retrospective study investigated defined daily doses (DDDs according Anatomical Therapeutical Chemical /DDD index) 130-bed The data on were collected from 2003–2013 by using electronic surveillance records provided local pharmacy. was related days hospital care. Results During 2003–2013, penicillins, cephalosporins carbapenems increased 28%, 46% 110%, respectively. both aminoglycosides vancomycin decreased 61% 41%, Amphotericin B clearly 39% while novel azoles echinocandins increased. Conclusions Increased most significant finding our study. year-to-year antibacterials general relatively stable new taken into conservatively. contrast antibacterials, antifungals rapidly adopted despite scarce evidence their safety children.
