Cross-country differences in European firms’ digitalisation: the role of national culture

摘要: This study investigates the relationship between national culture and country level of firms' digitalisation, by applying Hofstede's cultural framework to European Union member states. Although many studies have observed impact on innovation information communication technology (ICT) adoption, there been no analyses how dimensions digitalisation at level. intends fill that gap.,Using a pooled ordinary least square (OLS) model, this data from 27 countries over period 2014 2018.,The results suggest existence negative, significant, both masculinity uncertainty avoidance, digitalisation. Indulgence is found positively significantly influence country's Contrary expectations, indicates individualism degree Power distance significant impact.,This contributes literature showing various help or hinder in country. Theoretical managerial implications are presented, including suggestions for future research.
