摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the role played by protein phosphorylation in control of translation. Research has continued to center on its regulation translation mammalian cells; therefore, there is an unavoidable bias toward that direction. Nevertheless, it very probable similar, and no doubt additional, regulatory mechanisms operate most other eukaryotic species. The process mRNA conventionally divided into three distinct phases termed (peptide-chain) initiation, elongation, termination. Initiation, which appears be complex these processes, corresponds binding ribosome selection initiation start codon. In polypeptide chain synthesized termination results release completed dissociation from mRNA. It generally accepted exerted principally at level peptide-chain initiation. can regarded either as quantitative, when affects overall rates synthesis, or qualitative, individual messages are subjected control.
