摘要: Burkholderia pseudomallei is a bacterial pathogen causing the melioidosis disease, which predominantly found in tropical areas of Southeast Asia and Northern Australia. thailandensis closely related species to B. but it non-pathogenic species. In this study, we have constructed proteome reference map at stationary phase growth by using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis with pH 4-7 immobilized gradient combined matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time flight mass spectrometry. Approximately 550 spots could be detected Coomassie brilliant blue G-250 staining, 88 representing 77 unique proteins were identified. Eleven gene products multiple indicating as isoforms. attempt detect distinctive expressed between virulent non-virulent species, use comparative proteomic profiles under same condition performed. We identify more than 20 different spots. Twelve out 14 are six been identified indicated that they involved characters bacteria. Two hypothetical only pseudomallei. These potential markers distinguish these two Our study also provides useful information global intracellular protein expression valuable starting point for analyzing pathogenicity pathogen.
