摘要: To examine the effect of age on collagen metabolism glomerular basement membrane (GBM) and tail tendon, both structures were labeled in vivo by injection tracer amounts radioactive proline. The analyses proline and, especially, hydroxyproline revealed that synthesis degradation are reduced senescent rats. calculated turnover rate for GBM-collagen is prolonged about 40% with increased life span. catabolism responsible age-related thickening GBM. In addition, compositional isolated GBM tendon performed. Substantial changes observed amino acid composition structures. hydroxylated acids showed a progressive increase age, while lysine found to decline.
