摘要: Information on the life expectancy of Bjork-Shiley convexo-concave (BScc) valve recipients is necessary when considering prophylactic replacement. However, little known about late results after replacement with BScc valves. We describe long-term survival and its determinants Dutch cohort compare mortality figures those general population used in guidelines for Follow-up was obtained all (n = 2,264) (end study 1996). Survival over a 15-year period were described using Kaplan-Meier product-limit method Cox regression, respectively. Standardized ratios (SMRs) to rates who survived at least 30 days surgery rates. 15 years aortic, mitral, double 55.0% (95% confidence interval [CI] 51.9 58.1), 40.8% CI 37.1 44.4), 38.6% 33.2 43.9), The patient, history, procedure related. SMR 4.2 3.4 5.2) first year follow-up, which it decreased 2.0 1.8 2.3) remained constant until 14th year. SMRs depended time since implantation, age position replaced. Most estimates valves underrate true estimates. Age, position, time- specific risks death valvular should be accounted for. Different excess applied patients from different groups: older patient lower excess.
