摘要: Objective To determine renal function in patients with vesico-ureteric reflux (VUR) during 14 years of conservative treatment (no surgery). Patients and methods Sixty VUR were consecutively included between 1981 1982. The degree was determined by conventional voiding cysto-uretherography (VCUG) after 3 months prophylactic antibiotics. grade I–IV, grades III IV characterized as high-grade VUR. In all patients, any urinary tract infections bladder-urethral dysfunction treated. Renal monitored bladder scintigraphy using 123I-hippuran the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) plasma clearance 51Cr-ethylaminediamine tetra-acetic acid. Results Of 60 who entered study, 51 followed for a mean 13.7 years; nine lost to follow-up. None underwent antireflux surgery. All good health normotensive (except two borderline hypertension). 21 had low-grade, unilateral bilateral reflux. those low-grade both split on most refluxing kidney GFR remained stable whole monitoring period. Eighteen persistent reduction or initially significantly reduced functional share their re-assessed adolescence. However, body surface-corrected constant. Total single increased significantly. Conclusion A regimen can ensure function, although kidneys lower at referral seem have an impaired growth potential.
