摘要: ABSTRACT This work describes the preparation and characterization of mucoadhesive thermoresponsive systems consisted poloxamer 407 (P407), Carbopol® 934P (C934P), propolis to treat vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC). Systems were obtained with different percentages P407 C934P deliver propolis, a potent drug against VVC. Temperature gelation, hardness, compressibility, adhesiveness, elasticity, cohesiveness, mucoadhesion, rheology (continuous flow oscillatory), in vitro release, antimicrobial activity evaluated. Increasing polymer content or temperature presence significantly increased mechanical properties formulations. These exhibited pseudoplastic low degrees thixotropy. In most samples, increasing changed oscillatory rheological properties. Formulations showed behavior, existing as liquid at room gel 34°C–37°C. Propolis release from formulations was controlled by phenomenon relaxation chains displayed anomalous dependent concentration each polymer. The preparations evaluated microorganisms vaginal importance ( Candida albicans, glabrata, parapsilosis, tropicalis, Saccharomyces cerevisiae ), displaying all yeast tested. data for these indicate potentially useful role treatment VVC suggest they are worthy clinical evaluation.
