摘要: Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is a re-emerging mosquito-borne alphavirus responsible for recent, unexpectedly severe epidemic in countries of the Indian Ocean region. Although many alphaviruses have been well studied, little was known about biology and pathogenesis CHIKV at time 2005 outbreak. Over past 5 years there has multidisciplinary effort aimed deciphering clinical, physiopathological, immunological virological features infection. This Review highlights some most recent advances our understanding its interactions with host.
