摘要: Abstract In the present study, pure and Tb-doped NiO thin films (3 6%) were coated on glass substrates using cost-effective nebulizer spray technique. Their structural, morphological, photoluminescence, UV sensing properties have been reported. The structural studies confirm polycrystalline cubic structure with (111) preferred orientation. parameters such as crystallite size, dislocation density, strain estimated a considerable variation Tb doping was also Atomic force microscope (AFM) images displaying spherical grains of samples grain size is increasing concentration. energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) confirmed elements Ni, O in deposited films. bandgap values are decreasing concentration lowest value observed for 3% Photoluminescence (PL) spectra reveal sharp emission peak at 370 nm defect 484 nm, which attributed to near band blue emission, respectievely. photodetector Responsivity, External quantum efficiency, Detectivity doped studied their range 0.12–0.24 AW-1, 37–79%, 18.74 × 109 1.75 × 1010 Jones, respectively. maximum rise decay times 0.4 1.8 s, respectievely sample due high reduced trapping sites hence improving light performance.
