摘要: Carbon-based ion optics have the potential to significantly increase operable life and power ranges of thrusters because reduced erosion rates compared molybdenum optics. The development 15-cm larger diameter grids has encountered many problems, however, not least which is ability pass vibration testing. JPL recently developed a new generation 30-cm carbon-carbon in order address these problems demonstrate viability technology. Perveance, electron backstreaming, screen grid transparency data are presented for two sets Vibration testing was successfully performed on different with no damage results those tests models vibrational behavior. It will be shown that model conservative predictor response can accurately describe test results. There change alignment as result slight improvement, if any at all, performance.
