摘要: This study investigated the role of hydrophobic/hydrophilic interaction between bacterial and support surfaces in microbial adhesion, a model that correlates adhesion relative cell-hydrophobicity defined as ratio cell-support surface hydrophobicity over hydrophilicity was derived. quantitatively describes how cell hydrophobic hydrophilic interactions affect offers deep insights into thermodynamic mechanisms adhesion.
