摘要: Adult diffuse gliomas account for the majority of primary malignant brain tumours, and are in most cases lethal. Current therapies often only marginally effective, improved options will almost certainly benefit from further insight into various processes contributing to gliomagenesis pathology. While molecular characterization these tumours classifies them on basis genetic alterations chromosomal abnormalities, DNA methylation patterns increasingly understood play a role glioma pathogenesis. Indeed, subset associated with survival is characterized by CpG island methylator phenotype (G-CIMP), which can be induced expression mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH1/2). Aberrant particular genes or regulatory elements, within context G-CIMP-positive and/or negative has also been shown differential survival. In this review, we provide an overview current knowledge regarding adult gliomas. particular, discuss IDH mutations G-CIMP, MGMT promoter methylation, methylation-mediated microRNA regulation aberrant specific groups genes.
