摘要: Abstract Objective The aim of this study is to explore the feasibility and value real-time 3-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE) in quantitative evaluation size atrial septal defect (ASD) ventricular (VSD) correlate with surgical findings. Methods Thirty eight patients ASD and/or VSD were examined RT3DE. Three-dimensional image data-base was post-processed using 3D work-station. results compared measured by 2-dimensional Results RT3DE produced novel views congenital defects improved quantification defect. sizes obtained from 3DE have better correlation findings than diameter ( r = 0.69 vs 0.92). Conclusions offers additional special information heart disease without extending examining time, permits recording dynamics, enhances understanding complex cardiac anatomy elucidation mechanism. It a potentially valuable clinical tool for diagnosing managing disease.
