Objective The purpose of the study to understand vitamin status and prevalence women associated risk factors from eight provinces municipalities China. Methods Lactating within 1–10 months postpartum were recruited 2011–2013 China. Radioimmunoassay used measure serum 25-hydroxyvitamin [25(OH)D] concentration. Standardized questionnaire collect information on season, living site, ethnicity socio-demographic characteristics. Results Totally 2004 recruited. The median (p25, p75) 25(OH)D 15.8 (10.5, 24.0) nmol/L. 85.3% as <30nmol/L. Serum levels significantly lower during October-January (14.0nmol/L) than February-May (18.0nmol/L) (P<0.001), higher Dai (22.5nmol/L) Hui (Chinese Muslims) (9.0nmol/L) (P<0.001). For every 10,000 CNY annual income per capita increasing, increased 1.04 times odds winter 2.56 that spring (OR 2.56, 95%CI: 1.91–3.43).
