摘要: Abstract Objective To evaluate the refractive effect of 130° short arc length intrastromal corneal ring segments (ICRS) designed to correct myopia concurrent with astigmatism. Design Prospective, nonrandomized, comparative (self-controlled) trial. Participants Ten eyes 6 patients from one surgical center manifest refraction spherical equivalent between −1.00 and −6.00 diopters (D), cylinder correction 1.00 6.00 D, best spectacle-corrected visual acuity 20/20 or better. Intervention The were assigned receive 1 ICRS thicknesses, ranging 0.25 0.50 mm by 0.05 increments, an 130°. Main outcome measures Vector analysis astigmatic correction. Efficacy was assessed uncorrected deviation postoperative cylindrical error predicted Safety maintenance loss preoperative acuity. Measurements made before surgery after at days 7 months 1, 2, 3, 6. Results At months, better in 80% (8/10) 20/40 all eyes. Eight 10 (80%) within ±0.25 D plano refraction. There no acuity, (60%) gained a line. Reduction keratometric thickness statistically significant ( P = 0.039). Conclusions Preliminary results performance compound myopic astigmatism using are promising.
