摘要: Abstract PURPOSE: To compare correction of low myopia by intrastromal corneal ring segments (ICRS) and laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) with respect to early visual recovery refractive outcomes. METHODS: Eighty-two eyes implanted ICRS a phase III study for US Food Drug Administration review were matched 133 treated LASIK criteria age (> 18 years, < 65 years), preoperative (-1.00 -3.50 diopters [D]), astigmatism (< or = 1.00 D), single treatment, attempted full correction. Examinations performed preoperatively postoperatively at days 1 7 months 3. Visual acuity manifest refraction data collected retrospectively. function scores assigned, summarized results compared. RESULTS: Uncorrected was 20/20 better day 24% (20/82) after 55% (73/133) LASIK, month 3 75% (58/77) 67% (84/126) LASIK. Spherical equivalent within +/- D intended 99% (76/77) 96% (121/126) Excellent noted 90% (69/77) 78% (98/126) CONCLUSION: Patients showed uncorrected immediately following surgery; however, beyond month, patients achieved that continued improve time. indicate see higher levels than do the same error. The comparable mild myopia.
