摘要: Spinal cord contusion injury is one of the most serious nervous system disorders, characterized by high morbidity and disability. To mimic spinal in humans, various animal models have been developed. These developed rats, mice, monkeys. However, these are using rats. Two types models, i.e. bilateral unilateral either a weight drop method or impactor method. In method, specific rod, having diameter, dropped from height on to exposed cord. Low intensity produced dropping 5 g 8 cm, moderate 10 12.5-25 mm, 25 50 mm. through an delivering force area. Mild 100 ± kdyn force, 200 severe 300 force. The produces significant development locomotor dysfunction, which generally evident 0-14th day surgery at its peak after 28-56th day. present review discusses different injury.
