摘要: Insecticide resistance is a major problem that continues to plague efforts control pests of animals and crops. An important mechanism by which insects become resistant insecticides via increased detoxification mediated the cytochrome P450 microsomal monooxygenases (monooxygenases). One fundamental gaps in our knowledge about this an understanding how express high levels specific P450(s) responsible for resistance. such P450, CYP6D1, causes pyrethroid house fly expressed at 9-fold higher (mRNA protein) Learn Pyrethroid Resistant (LPR) strain (compared susceptible strains). The relative stability CYP6D1 mRNA strains was measured following inhibition transcription with actinomycin D. same time course decrease abundance detected both indicating level expression LPR not due mRNA. comparative rates were using vitro run-on assay. amount transcript produced assay 10-fold greater compared strain. This demonstrates underlying cause monooxygenase-mediated insecticide rate controlled two factors: one on autosome 1 another 2.
