摘要: Growing urban land development has led to a reduction in the space available for cemeteries and juxtaposition of residential cemeterial areas, further raising polluting potential latter. The present case study sought assess levels physicochemical microbiological contamination Central Cemetery Marau (RS/Brazil), propose vertical cemetery deployment as way reduce necroleachate-linked pollution impacts. following information was collected from 43 additional rural cemeteries: number tombs, graves, chapels, small constructions with drawers, state conservation cleanliness total area perimeter cemetery. Eighty professionals environmentally sustainable planning four countries (20 Brazilians, 20 American, Portuguese Japanese) were interviewed regarding ‘ideal cemetery’. Various risks soil identified, particularly high amounts heterotrophic microorganisms, especially fecal coliforms associated burial sites. In order avoid environment population, mplemention model is proposed.
