摘要: Objective: To compare the incidence of sleep and pain complaints in symptomatic traumatic brain injury (TBI) (mild vs moderate/severe) neurologic populations. Design: Case-control study. Setting: Outpatient neuropsychology service at a university-affiliated tertiary care center. Patients: A consecutive sample mild (n = 127) moderate to severe 75) patients with TBI general (non-TBI) group 123) referred for neuropsychological assessment. Main Outcome Measures: Patient report and/or problems. Results: subjects had significantly more insomnia (56.4% 30.9%) (58.9% 22%) than non-TBI (p < .0001). For both subject groups, presence increased approximately twofold. Poor maintainance was most common problem. In those without pain, reported that .05). Mild .0001) (70% 40%). there were injuries .01). Conclusions: persistent cognitve have concerns patients. Pain is strongly associated problems. Aggressive evaluation treatment problems TBI, especially population appears warranted may contribute disability. The etiology greater requires further study.
