摘要: Anorexia and weight loss are major problems for cancer patients associated with increased morbidity mortality. The current clinical approach is to encourage high calorie food intake. In the present study, we used an animal model of tumor-induced anorexia evaluate effect feeding a caloric diet on intake body tumor-bearing rats. Tumor-bearing rats fed containing 4.7 kcal/g reduced amount they ate equal 3.7 kcal/g. Body tumor growth were not affected by intervention. These data suggest that energy regulated in as it healthy animals, albeit at lower level. have implications further study effects nutritional supplements status patients.
