Potentiometric in Situ Monitoring of Anions in the Synthesis of Copper and Silver Nanoparticles Using the Polyol Process.

摘要: Potentiometric sensors, such as polymeric membrane, ion-selective electrodes (ISEs), have been used in the past to monitor a variety of chemical processes. However, use these sensors has traditionally limited aqueous solutions and moderate temperatures. Here we present an ISE with high-capacity ion-exchange sensing membrane for measurements nitrate nitrite organic solvent propylene glycol at 150 °C. It is capable continuously measuring under conditions over 180 h. We demonstrate usefulness this sensor by situ monitoring anion concentrations during synthesis copper silver nanoparticles using polyol method. Ion chromatography colorimetric method were independently confirm measured situ. In doing so, it was shown that reaction co-ion reduced nitrite.
