摘要: Context: Vitamin D receptors are present in many tissues. Hypovitaminosis is considered to be a risk factor for atherosclerosis. Objective: This study explores the effects of vitamin replacement on insulin sensitivity, endothelial function, inflammation, oxidative stress, and leptin D-deficient subjects. Design, Setting, Patients: Twenty-three asymptomatic subjects with 25-hydroxyvitamin [25(OH)D] levels below 25 nmol/liter were compared control group that had mean 25(OH)D level 75 nmol/liter. The received 300,000 IU im monthly 3 months. following parameters evaluated before after treatment: metabolites, leptin, function by brachial artery flow mediated dilatation (FMD), sensitivity index based oral glucose tolerance test, lipid peroxidation as measures thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS).
